The Scout Associations Child Protection Policy is also known as the 'Young People First' policy, and referred to as the 'Yellow Card'. All adults in the Scout Association are bound under this policy, and are also CRB cleared at regular intervals.

CRB clearance forms within our District should be sent to Sheila Shrives (contact details in the District Directory).

Guide to filling in the CRB form correctly

• Always use black ink and complete in BLOCK CAPITALS
• Section A Complete in full remembering National Insurance Number and all Forenames
• Section B Has already been completed
• Section C Complete in full
• Section D Complete if person has not been at current address for more than 5 years. Use an additional sheet of paper if more than one previous address and ensure continuity of addresses covering the 5 year period
• Section E Leave Blank. No need to be completed
• Section F Leave Blank. No need to be completed
• Section G Leave Blank. No need to be completed
• Section H Mark Box in line 66 and 67 as appropriate and applicant must sign both boxes and date in line 70
• Section X Fill in details of one of the required. Easier and better with passport or Driving License ensuring all information required is completed and then you check box in line 15 to say you have seen this evidence and write your name in line 16 NB This section must be completed by you as the person checking the evidence
